Lyle Griffiths

LYLE GRIFFITHS died November 17, 2011 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 92. He was born on August 29, 1919 in Clay County, Kansas the son of Percy and Edna (Hagberg) Griffiths. Lyle was born and raised in Blaine township in Clay County. He attended Jennings country school and graduated from CCCHS in 1938. Lyle married Ruby Charpie on September 1, 1940, she survives of the home. They lived in the Ladysmith community and farmed near Idana. Lyle aslo worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 20 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Lyle is preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Griffiths, a sister and 2 half brothers. Survivors include: Wife: Ruby Griffiths, Clay Center, KS Son: Duane Griffiths, Grand Rapids, MI Grandchildren: Five Grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on will be held from 11AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to May be made to the First Presbyterian Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
