Mabel Radford

MABEL BLANCHE RADFORD died November 26, 2007 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 89. MABEL BLANCHE RADFORD was born on July 25, 1918 in Clifton Kansas, the daughter of John Hammel and Martha (Kulp) Hammel She lived in Salina in the 1930's and 1940's. She married Walter Radford in 1949 and they lived in Kansas City and Waterville until his death. She then lived in the Topeka and Meridan areas in 1970's and 1980's before moving to Clay Center. She worked as a receptionist at Head Start and the Clay Center Area Chamber of Commerce through the Green Thumb program. Mabel enjoyed gardening and antiques. She was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Walter preceded her in 1971 and she is also preceded by a daughter, Sharon Johnson, 4 sisters and 1 brothers. Survivors include: Daughter: Vickie Radford, Topeka, KS Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Grennan. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29 from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
