Mabel Wanamaker

Mabel Wanamaker, 95,died Sunday May 15, 2016. She was born April 29, 1921 the daughter of Peter Larson and Frankie Tyler. Mabel was raised in Barnes, KS and graduated from Barnes High School. She married Max Henderson in 1939, they made their home in Barnes before he preceded her in death. She married Rayburn Stunkel in 1949 and they made their home in Vining and Clifton before he preceded her in death. In 1989, Mabel married Rollin Wanamaker. They lived in Waterville before he preceded her in death. Mabel moved to Clay Center in 2009. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Clifton. Mabel was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sharon Scott and sister, Carrie Millie Sextro. Survivors: Daughter: Shirley Young, Topeka, KS Son: Roger Henderson, Las Vegas, NV Daughter: Karla Hitsman, Topeka, KS 10 Grandchildren and 26 Great-grandchildren and 13 Great-great-grandchildren Funeral Services: Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:30 at the Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, KS Minister: Pastor Rob Stewart and Pastor Edward Moynihan Burial: Palmer City Cemetery, Palmer, Kansas Visitation: Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
