MARCENE A. TADDIKEN died April 20, 2009 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 90. MARCENE A. TADDIKEN was born on November 18, 1918 in Clay County, Kansas the daughter of Charles Enke and Amelia Miller.
She was raised in the Green, Kansas area and graduated from Green High School in 1936. She took normal training, attended Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University. She taught in rural schools for 9 years. She married Wilber Taddiken on April 21, 1946 and he survives. After their marriage, they moved to rural Clay Center to farm and in 1955 they moved to Clifton, Kansas and farmed there until retiring and moving to Clay Center in 1985. She was a former member of Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton, Ks. where she was a Sunday School Teacher and was the choir director. They transferred their membership to the First Presbyterian Church of Clay Center. She was active with the Faith Singers, Harmony Country Singers, Willing Helper's Club and organized and directed the Silvertones. She was also a member of the Clay Center Leisure Club and several bridge clubs in the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson, Fredrick Allen Boerger, and her brother in-law Tom Hanna.

Grandchildren: 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 6:30 Wednesday.
