Marian Williams

MARIAN WILLIAMS died September 16, 2012 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 91. MARIAN WILLIAMS was born on March 9, 1921 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of Herbert H. Hildenbrand and Esther R. Hoffman. Marian graduated from CCCHS in 1940. She married Donald Doc Williams on June 10, 1943 and he preceded her on February 28, 1973. She worked for J.C. Penny's for 30 years, USD 379 Food Service Dept for 22 years and retired in May 2012. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Miriam Circle and a past Red Cross Volunteer. Survivors include: Daughter: Karen Bryan, Clay Center, KS Son: Michael and wife Judy Williams, Clay Center, KS Sister: Delores Copeland, Wichita, KS Grandchildren: 2 Grandchildren, 1 Step Grandchild and 6 Greatgrandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10:30AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18 from 3-8pm with the family greeting friends from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Clay Center or the Meadowlark Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
