Marjorie Cable

Marjorie Fay (Opdycke) Cable passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. She was born on March 28, 1953 to Jerry and Roberta (Henning) Opdyke in Providence, RI. Margie graduated from high school in Milford, MI with the class of 1971.

She married Dale Cable on August 14, 1976 and they had two children, Erin and Andrew. She was a proud educator, teaching math at Oscoda Area Schools for 30 years before retiring and eventually settling in Clay Center, KS in 2011.

Margie enjoyed knitting various clothing items for her family and friends, enjoyed playing games on her tablet and was an avid Detroit Sports fan.

Margie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dale; her sister, Jeri-Lynn (Robert) Willis; her daughter, Erin Stiers; son Andy (Lola) Cable; and grandchildren Jane Stiers, Drew Cable, Titus Cable, Libby Stiers, and Wheeler Cable.
