Mark Warren Branfort, age 70, of Clifton Kansas passed away Friday October 26, 2018 at Clay County Hospital. He was born in Clay Center, KS to Bill and Maxine Branfort on August 29, 1948 and raised on a Republican River Farm outside Clifton, KS. Mark graduated from Clifton High School and started his career in carpentry. His career included both large and small construction jobs. He owned Branfort Construction for several years in Clifton and would travel with Superintendent Position jobs with larger Construction Companies. Mark traveled for work and enjoyed meeting new friends everywhere he went, however his Clifton family and friends would always call him home. Mark was a gifted woodworker and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His times spent at the Deer Shack were some of his fondest memories. Mark was a wonderful son, proud father, and an exceptional Grandpa. His Granddaughters always looked forward to what he would come up with to entertain them whether it was putting handprints in his newly poured concrete, building forts around his shop, going to the river, helping him work by banging a hammer on something, or just watching westerns on TV with him. He was a member of the SAL and Jay Cees both of Clifton and the Clyde VFW Auxiliary. He was preceded in Death by his father Bill and Brother Phil Branfort.

Survivors include two daughters, Janene Aggson (Jordan) of Concordia, Jennifer Crane (Wesley) of Kansas City, MO, and one son Aron Branfort of Clifton; Sister JoDee Haas (Galen) of Clifton, Mother Maxine Branfort, two Grandaughters Layla and Vada.

Respect calls will be Monday October 29, 2018 from 5-8pm at Faith United Presbyterian Church, and funeral services will be Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 10:00am. Services will be held at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Clifton KS. The burial will be at Riverdale Cemetery, Clay County, KS.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Clifton Ball Association in care of Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
