MARK BURGER died December 13, 2012 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of
90. He was born on August 28, 1922 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of John Burger and Alma
Damkroger.
Mark was born and raised in Clay County. He was inducted into the US Army in
November 1942. Mark served with the 713th Tank Batallion, Armored Flame Thrower
Provisional during WWII, and was at the battle of Okinawa. He was honorablly discharged in
January 1946. Mark returned to Clay County and farmed before operating a Standard Service
Station. Mark married Pauline Jensen on February 22, 1953. He then worked as an auto
mechanic at Atkins Motors and Mattingly Motor. Mark then owned and operated Burger Auto
service until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Clay
Center. Mark is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Sister: Velma Lang, Clay Center, KS
6 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul
Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro.
Inurnment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. the family will greet friends from
3-4:30 PM
