Marlene Tate

MARLENE K. TATE died March 15, 2012 at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS at the age of 66. She was born on July 31, 1945 in Stafford, KS the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Stedman) Hoss. Marlene was raised in Miltonvale and graduated from Miltonvale High School. She earned a degree in Nursing from Cloud County Community College. Marlene married Roy Tate on December 15, 1962. She worked as a surgical nurse and in the E.R. at St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia and at hospitals in Salina and Manhattan. She was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Manhattan. Marlene in preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Leonard Carson. Survivors include: Husband: Roy Tate, Manhattan, KS Daughter: Gina and husband Gary Thomas, Wichita, KS Son: Jeff and wife Sara Tate, Powell, OH Sister: Darlene Empson, Manhattan, KS Sister: Jeanette Kondratieff, Clay Center, KS Sister: Denise Hamel, Miltonvale, KS Brother: Jerry Hoss Brother: Steve Carson, Manhattan, KS Brother: Mark Carson, Clay Center, KS Brother: Neal Carson, Wakefield, KS Grandchildren: Kylie Thomas, Shelbi Thomas, Lauren, Tate Carson Tate, Alaina Tate Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Inurnment will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas. There will be no visitation Memorials can be made to St Jude's Children's Research Foundation or Susan G. Koman Foundation
