Marsha Sue Davies

Marsha Sue Carlson Davies was born February 9, 1948 in Clay Center, Kansas to Marshall and Darlene (Sutter) Carlson, She passed away December 30, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 71.

She graduated from CCCHS with the class of 1966.  She married Jim Davies on January 15, 1967 in Clay Center and in a few days, they would have been married for 53 years.  Sue and Jim lived in Virginia; West Point; Highland Falls, New York; Ft. Carson, Colorado; Denver; Salina; Oklahoma City; Lawrence and Wichita.

Sue worked as a clerk/typist for the FBI, at several banks, for Wise American Fire Equipment and for Mid Continent Fire Equipment.

She was a member of the Kansas Credit Group for approximately 10 years and served as president of the local chapter.  She was also a member of the Pilot Group for approximately 10 years and served as president of the regional chapter.

She enjoyed doing cross-stitch and made many beautiful pictures.

Sue is survived by her husband, Jim of Wichita, several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Melvin Carlson and niece, Stacie Carlson.

Memorial Services: Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 1:30PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS

Minister: Herb Mugler

Visitation: Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 12:30PM until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials: Pilot Club c/o the funeral home.
