MARVIN MELCHER BEESLEY, died Wednesday, February 21, 2014 at the Clay Center Medical Lodge. Mr. M.M. Beesley was born December 31, 1917 in Glasco Kansas, the first child of John and Mary Beesley.  He was a son, brother, husband, uncle, WWII veteran, farmer, heavy equipment operator and  employee of GT Manufacturing.  Marvin was a Leisure Center participant, a tease, a constant joke teller, and a kind, gentle, helpful friend.Of his immediate family, only his sister, Charlotte Mottin, survives.  Other survivors include nephew Dr. James Mottin and niece Janet Murphy. Preceding him in death were his wife Dorthy Peterson Beesley, sister Clarine Hauck, and nephew Bob Hauck.The family suggests that in honor of Marvin, do a favor for a friend or consider a donation to the Clay Center Leisure Center which was so important in Marvin's life.   Memorial Services for Marvin will be at 1:30, Wednesday, April 23, at Neil-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, 918 Seventh, Clay Center, Kansas.
