MARVIS DAVIES died January 20, 2008 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 79. She was born on April 29, 1928 in Clay Center, KS the daughter of James and Elsa (Carlson) Hess. She was raised and attended school in Clay Center. She married Clinton Davies on April 1, 1944, he survives of the home. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She was a member of the Assembly of God church in Clay Center. Survivors include: Husband: Clinton Sonny Davies, Clay Center, KS Son: Clinton Davies, Jr, Clay Center, KS Son: Jerry and wife Mavis Davies, Clay Center, KS Son: Gary Davies, Clay Center, KS Brother: Cyril Hess, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 13 Grand and 34 Great-Grand Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gale Lund. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 PM. Memorials can be made to Marvis Davies memorial fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home
