Mary Byrd

MARY E. BYRD, 86 died October 8, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas . She was born on August 15, 1929 in Wichita, KS. The daughter of John and Cora (Stotts) Wheaton. Mary grew up in Ft. Scott and graduated from Ft. Scott High School. She worked for Beechcraft in Wichita for 29 years as a blueprint clerk. She moved to Clifton in 2007. She is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth and sister, Kay LaBelle. Survivors: Husband: Renley Byrd, Clifton, KS Son: John (Lora) Byrd, Clifton, KS Daughter: Julia Byrd, Towanda, KS Daughter: Mary Slater, Wichita, KS 3 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren Sister: Rosie Holmes, Alamagordo, NM Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:30AM at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Clifton, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 5-7PM at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Clifton, Kansas. Memorials: Park Villa Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
