MARY ALMA LEWIS died January 17, 2011 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the
age of 103. MARY ALMA LEWIS was born on September 7, 1907 in Clay County, Kansas the
daughter of Peter Yarrow and Alma Remington.
Mary married Delmar Lewis in 1924 and he preceded her in death in 1983. They farmed
in Union Township near Wakefield, Kansas until moving to Clay Center in 1972. She was a
member of the Mizpah United Methodist Church and was active in the UMW and taught Sunday
School, later she transferred her membership to the Clay Center United Methodist Church. She
was a member of the Leisure Center and the O.E.S. all of Clay Center. She was also preceded in
death by a daughter Marjorie Arvin and a brother Orville Yarrow.

Granddaughter: Kathleen and husband Craig Carney
Granddaughter: Julie and husband Jeff Hannah
Adopted Granddaughter: Rhonda and husband Jim Gierhan
Great-Grandchildren: 2 great-grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:00AM at the Mizpah United
Methodist Church in Clay County, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Larry Brock and Rev. Susan Sawyer
Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery, Wakefield, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18th from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home
Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice in care of the funeral home
