MAXINE FREIHEIT, 100 died May 11, 2015 at Holiday Resort in Salina, KS. She was born on October 2, 1914 in Clay County, KS, the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Wilson) Woodhams.
Maxine attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College and Indiana Wesleyan College. She married Floyd Freiheit on July 12, 1939 at the Bethany Chapel and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1995. Floyd and Maxine pastored Wesleyan Churches in Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, New York, Maryland, and Kansas. They retired to Clay Center in 1981. Maxine was a professional seamstress, doing work for Mayo's Bridal Department and Keg's men?s suits. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Garden Club, Library Club, Best Year?s Fellowship, leader in Wesleyan Women International, was president of the Iowa and Minnesota Wesleyan Women District Board, on the Wesleyan Women International Board and the Area Director Western Area Wesleyan Women. Maxine was also preceded in death by 2 sisters Wanda Marsh and Ailene Morgan, and her brother, Clarence "Bud" Woodhams.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00AM at the Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Rev. Phil Harris
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 3-8PM atNeill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hephzibah Children's Home in Macon, GA c/o the funeral home.
