MAXINE HABLUETZEL died March 23, 2010 at St. Francis Hosptial, Topeka, KS at the age of 91. She was born on March 1, 1919 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Victor Strom and Ellen Loberg. Maxine was raised near Morganville, KS and graduated from CCCHS in 1936. She married Lawrence Habluetzel on May 24, 1937. She worked as a bookkeeper for Clay Center Livestock Sales and was a homemaker. Lawrence preceded her in death on February 2, 2010. Maxine was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. She is also preceded by a brother. Survivors include: Son: Gail and wife Marsha Habluetzel, Clay Center, KS Son: Loy Habluetzel, Fallbrook, CA Son: Larry and wife Carol Habluetzel, Overland Park, KS Brother: Wilbur Strom, Leavenworth, KS Grandchildren: 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:30AM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Grant Clay, Pastor Brian Johnson and Pastor David McCowan. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Evangelical Covenant Church c/o the funeral home
