MAXINE AMELIA MARCOTTE died January 8, 2010 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 76. She was born on November 18, 1933 in Republic County, KS the daughter of Peter Rasmussen and Hilda Sallman. She was raised in Concordia and graduated from Concordia High School. She married Alfred Marcotte on April 10, 1953. They made their home in Manhattan before moving to Morganville in 1970. They owned and operated Marcotte Grocery in Morganville until they retired in the early 1980's. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Auxilary in Clifton and the Morganville Lion's Club. Survivors include: Husband: Alfred Marcotte, Morganville, KS Daughter: Deborah and husband Lanny Crawford, Clay Center, KS Son: Chris and wife Regina Marcotte, Salina, KS Son: Jay Marcotte, Morganville, KS Daughter: Michelle and husband Mark Friedrich, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 6 Grand, 2 Step-Grand, 3 Great-grand & 2 Step-Great-Grand Sister: Hazel Runft, Scandia, KS Sister: Ruby Larsen, Concordia, KS Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be at the Morganville Cemetery, Morganville, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday 3- 8 PM at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 4-6 PM Memorials can be made to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church c/o the funeral home
