VONNA MAXINE NEMNICH died November 3, 2013 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS
at the age of 89. She was born on November 17, 1923 in Cloud County, Kansas the daughter of
Ernest and Lois (Hutcheson) Kaiser.
Maxine was raised near the Miltonvale community and graduated from
Miltonvale High School. She taught school after graduating high school.
In 1942, Maxine moved to California and worked at Mare Island Shipyard. She
married Lloyd Nemnich on April 30, 1943 after returning to Kansas. Maxine
then worked at Aeroparts Manufacturing in Wichita while Lloyd was stationed
overseas. They returned to Clay Center and she worked at Tasty Pastry,
Duckwalls and Lincoln Heights Grocery. Maxine was a member of the First
Baptist, H.E.U. and a Red Cross Volunteer. She is preceded in death by a
daughter, Marla Nemnich, two sisters and a brother.

Husband: Lloyd Nemnich, Clay Center, KS
Daughter: Dee Ann and husband Fred Wait, Salina, KS
Sister: Lila Haynes, Linn, KS
3 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook
Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Matthew Coleman.
Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 3-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 4-6PM.
