Medora Kahrs

MEDORA KAHRS died January 29, 2011 at Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, KS at the age of 93. She was born on February 5, 1917 in Washington County, Kansas the daughter of Ora and Mae (Lavender) Rand. Medora was raised in Washington County and attended Clifton High School. She married Elmer Kahrs on April 17, 1935. They farmed in the Clifton and Palmer communities. Elmer preceded her in death on February 16, 1990. Medora was am member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Palmer, Sherman Community Club and Mary Martha Club. She is also preceded in death by a brother William Keith Rand. Survivors include: Daughter: Ilene and husband Rollin Newell, Clay Center, KS Son: Delmer Kahrs, Clifton, KS Brother: Charles and wife Pat Rand, Clifton, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grandsons, 9 Great-grandchildren & 2 Step-Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Sahl. Burial will be at the St. Paul Cemetery, Linn, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 5-7 PM Thursday at Turner Funeral Home Memorials can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church
