MERLE L. HENRY, 89 died July 27, 2014 at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. He was born on May 11, 1925 in Clay County, KS. The son of E. Leroy and Fern (Fullerton) Henry. Merle served in the US Army during WWII. He married Dolores Mauch on October 1, 1953 and she survives. He farmed in Clay County and also worked as the shop clerk for Clay County. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, American Legion, B.P.O.E, and was a former Optomist. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Shelley Rankin, and half-sister, Ella Lloyd Mueller. Survivors: Wife: Delores Henry, Clay Center, Kansas Daughter: Sheri and husband, Jeff Logan, Missoula, Montana Son in Law: Don Rankin, Ft. Worth, Texas One grandchild Sister: Margaret and husband Harold Milligan, Clay Center, Kansas Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, KS Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 12:30PM until service time at the church. Memorials: charity of the donor's choice.
