Michael Barnes

MICHAEL LYNN BARNES died December 2, 2008 at Salina Regional Health Center Santa Fe Campus, Salina, KS at the age of 57. He was born on May 12, 1951 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of Dale Barnes and Georgia Knox. He grew up in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School in 1969. He worked for his dads construction company, Dale Barnes Trucking-leased to Becker Enterprises, Mike Barnes Trucking-leased to Girton Propane the past two years. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Clifton. He married Deborah Dumler on August 16, 1970 and she survives of the home. Survivors include: Wife: Deborah Barnes, Clifton, KS Son: Tim and wife Ann Barnes, Olathe, KS Daughter: Kerry Barnes, Appleton, WI Daughter: Jennifer Underwood and husband Allen Fisher, Downs, KS Daughter: April and husband Tim Morgan, Clifton, KS Brother: Dennis Barnes, Clifton, KS Brother: Jim Barnes, Clifton, KS Brother: Jeff Barnes, Morganville, KS Brother: Greg Barnes, Clifton, KS Brother: Alan Barnes, Clifton, KS Sister: Janet Schurle, Clay Center, KS Sister: Angie Cyphers, Clifton, KS Sister: Linda Hook, Clifton, KS Sister: LuAnn Johns, Minneapolis, KS Grandchildren: 12 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Clifton, Kansas. Officiating the service will be The Rev. Larry Letourneau. Burial will be at the St. Mary Cemetery, Clifton, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5 from 5-7pm with a Rosary at 7pm at the Turner Chapel.
