Michael Dunn

Michael A. Dunn, 69 of Clay Center, died on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn, Kansas. He was born on June 25, 1956, the son of John “Jack” and Elizabeth (Lloyd) Dunn. Michael grew up in Clay County and attended schools in Idana, Morganville and Clay Center. He wrestled and ran cross country for CCCHS. He graduated in 1974.

Michael was a farmhand for many years and was also a welder at Hutchinson/Mayrath. He was a member of the Idana Presbyterian Church, an avid runner and bike rider and enjoyed taking photographs, especially of wildlife. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister in-law, Cindy Dunn.

He is survived by his brother, Kevin and wife, Judy Dunn of Clay Center, Kansas; 2 sisters, Kathy and husband, Tim Burger of Clay Center, Kansas and Sharon and husband, Kim Clark of Clay Center, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 3-7PM on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Idana Presbyterian Church in Idana, Kansas.

Private inurnment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Idana Presbyterian Church, the Linn Community Nursing Home or Meadowlark Hospice and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
