Michael D Foley

MICHAEL D. FOLEY died April 2, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 75. He was born on January 12, 1933 in Newton, IA the son of Arnold Foley and Gladys Greene. Michael attended and graduated from Perry, Iowa High School in 1952. He graduated from Drake University. He married Cynthia Smutz on October 17, 1969 and she survives of the home. He owned and operated Foley Shoe Store in Clay Center for many years. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he served on the parish council. He was a member of the Clay Center Rotary Club, past president and Past District Governor for Rotary district 5670. He was also past member of the Clay Center Chamber of Commerce, serving as president and on the board of Directors. He was also a member of the Clay Center City Band. Survivors include: Wife: Cynthia Foley, Clay Center, KS Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be The Rev John Wolesky and The Rev Larry Grennan. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to may be made to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
