Mildred H. Carlson

MILDRED H. CARLSON died August 9, 2010 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 89. Mildred was born on November 27, 1920 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Percy Fowles and Eleanor Martin. Mildred was raised in Clay County and graduated from CCCHS. She married Ernest Carlson on June 5, 1941. Mildred worked as a surgical aide at the Clay County Hospital for several years. She also worked for KP&L. Ernest preceded her in death on June 22, 2003. She is also preceded by a sister and 4 brothers. Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Fowles Gals. Survivors include: Daughter: Charene and husband Doug Lloyd, Newton, KS Daughter: KAren and husband Jerry Milbrant, Topeka, KS Son: Datrrell ad wife Deanna Carlson, Roswell, GA Brother: Orrin and wife Wanda Fowles, Clay Center, KS Brother: Wilbur and wife Pat Fowles, Clay Center, KS Sister: Charlotte Gilbert, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 8 Grand & 15 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 081310 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Matthew Coleman. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6:30-8:00. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church or Presbyterian Manor c/o the funeral home
