Morris L. Weyant, Jr.

Morris L. Weyant, Jr., 74 of Clay Center, died on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, Kansas. He was born May 9, 1948 in Seattle, Washington, the son of Morris L. Weyant, Sr. and LeBertha Weyant. Morris grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, where he graduated from high school. He spent 35 years in the United States Army, serving 2 tours in Vietnam and 1 in Operation Desert Storm. He retired with the rank of Command Sgt. Major. After his retirement, he served as Postmaster for the Clay Center Post Office for 10 years. He was a member of the Purple Heart Association and a past member of the Clay Center Rotary Club and the Clay Center Masonic Lodge He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lisa Weyant. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Weyant and son, Brian Weyant both of Clay Center, Kansas. There will be no services or visitation at this time.
