MYRNA JOHNSON, 98 died December 10, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor in Clay Center, KS. She was born on March 20, 1917 in Clay Center, KS, the daughter of Tom and Violet (Thornton) Bigler. Myrna was raised In Clay County and graduated from CCCHS in 1935. She received her cosmetologist license in 1938. In 1944, Myrna and Nola (Nyberg) Logan moved to California to work as hair stylists. She married Verl S. Johnson on January 23, 1946 and they made their home on the family farm. Myrna continued working as a hair stylist. She had several duties with the Clay County Extension office. She was active in the Rainbow Girls, a 4-H leader, and a 60 year member of Order of Eastern Star where she held many offices. Myrna was a former member of the Hayes United Methodist Church and a current member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rita Swick, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Clay Center United Methodist Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Pastor Ryan Lynch and Herb Mugleer
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 3-6PM.
