Myrtle Holt

MYRTLE HOLT died March 2, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 91. She was born on December 2, 1916 in Timberlake, South Dakota the daughter of John G. Blaser and Julia Holle. Myrtle attended country schools and graduated from CCCHS. She married Wendell holt on March 23, 1938 in Waterville and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1997. She helped her husband operate a garage and gas service station. She lived in the Oak Hill and Longford area since the 1940s. Myrtle was a member of the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where she taught sunday school for five years and was the treasurer of the Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of the Oak Hill E.H.U., Rebekah Lodge 914 for over 50 years, and a 4-H cooking leader. Survivors include: Son: Alan Holt, Wakefield, KS Son: Gene and his wife Doris Holt, Chelmsford, MA Grandchildren: Four Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren Brother: Cal Blaser, CA Sister: Lucy , CA Sister: Vera Sanders, CA Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church in Oak Hill, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Pastor Gill Gillispie. Burial will be at the Rose Meron Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home in Clay Center. Memorials can be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home
