Nola Katherine Montgomery , age 85, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Medicalodge in Clay Center.
Mrs. Montgomery was born November 2, 1925, in Exeter Township, Clay County, the daughter of Fred and Emma (Jones) Sanneman.
She attended rural Clay County schools and CCCHS. She was married on March 2, 1957 to Dr. Robert Montgomery. She was a homemaker and was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, serving as a leader in Girl Scouts and various school activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1998, parents, and one brother, Leroy Sanneman.
Survivors include two daughters, Mindy and husband Keith Blake of Clay Center, and Tammy Woolley of Thornton, Colorado; five grandsons, Christopher, Kevin, Jordan, and Ryan Blake and Dylan Woolley; a sister, Jean Trautwein, and a step brother, Don Wehmhoff.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2nd at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. James Byers officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nola Montgomery Memorial Fund to be designated by the family at a later date.
