Nolan Patterson

Nolan Patterson, 97 died December 13, 2023, in Clay Center, KS.  He was born on July 11, 1926, in Clay County, the son of George and Ora (Tiemeyer) Patterson.  Nolan was a graduate of the Class of 1944 from Clay Center High School.  He married Rachel Dinsmore on March 11, 1947.  They made their home and farmed in Clay County.  Nolan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.  He also served on the hospital board, with Gideon’s International and as a Sherman Township Trustee.  After retiring from farming, Nolan and Rachel made their home in Clay Center.  In his free time, Nolan enjoyed fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Irene Atkinson, brother, Kenneth L. Patterson.

3 Grandchildren, Julie (Ken) Hughes, Jeremy (Krissy) Patterson, Patrick (Natalie) Wenger, 7 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great-great-grandchildren

Funeral Services: 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, KS

Minister: Rev. Scott Lingle

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: 4-7 PM Monday, December 18, 2023, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home

Memorials:  Clay Center Zoo, First Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Covenant Church c/o the funeral home, in lieu of flowers
