Norman F Wendte

Norman Wendte, 96 died November 23, 2019 at the Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn, KS. He was born on May 17, 1923 in Clay Center, the son of Fred and Anna (Keller) Wendte. Norman was raised in the Palmer community. He married Norma Dankenbring on October 8, 1950. They farmed in the Palmer area and Norman worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation. In 1973, they made their home in Clay Center. They returned to Palmer in 1992 and back to Clay Center in 2010. Norma preceded him in death on June 15, 2019. Norman was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center and enjoyed playing softball and baseball. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Aletha Weiche.

6 Grandchildren, 4 Step-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, 15 Step-Great-Grandchildren and 1 Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren

Funeral Services: Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, KS

Minister: Pastor Paul Tessaro

Inurnment: Greenwood Cemetery, at a later date

Visitation: Friday, November 29, 2019 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 3-5 PM
