Pamela Everett

d. August 7, 2023

Pamela Jo Everett entered Heaven on August 7, 2023 after a victorious and brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Pam was born to Laurence & Eunice Pacey on February 8, 1959 and grew up on a farm in the Miltonvale community. She was the 9th of 13 children and grew up as a hard worker with a resilient spirit and positive attitude. She attended one-room schoolhouses and later graduated from Miltonvale High School. She attended Cloud County Community College and Kansas State University before marrying the love of her life, Darrell Everett on November 10, 1979.

Darrell and Pam made their home on a farm where they raised 5 children. Pam was a devoted wife and mother as she stayed home with her children and ran a daycare. Several summers she helped on the family custom harvest crew. Pam was the best homemaker as she sewed clothes for her kids, made toys, pieced quilts together, baked and decorated birthday cakes, and other delicious meals. She drove her kids around to their many activities, which she also helped with. She was an active part of the school community, coaching softball, helping with 4-H projects and animals, and always cheering others on from behind the scenes.

Pam worked as a USD 379 District school bus driver for about 30 years and also was a Nutrition and Transportation Coordinator for Head Start for several counties in North Central Kansas. She made so many dear friends and family through this time in her endeavors as she always lent an ear and had a hug for those needing comfort. Pam had a passion and love for anyone or anything that was struggling- from people that needed a loving mom in their life to little calves or kittens that had been abandoned, Pam found her joy in attending to the needs of others. She felt most happy when she was surrounded by her family, especially if she had a little baby in her arms. Pam had a gift for hospitality and welcomed everyone like they were family. Pam had such dear friends that were close to her and are left to cherish her memories.

Pam was a faithful and active member of the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. Her faith was important to her, and she firmly believed that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8), and that her family grieves with hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13).

Her immediate family and legacy include her husband, Darrell Everett, daughters Courtney (Travis) Pfizenmaier, Shauna (Shawn) Chance, Jarin (Brendan) Gleason, sons Brady Everett, and Rylan (Jillian) Everett. Her grandchildren missing her include Taige, Tarin, Treya, and Thade Pfizenmaier; Zachary, Logan, Malachi, Zoe (Storm), Jasmin, Jeb, Zachary Chance; Brienna, Liam, Declan, Kylan Gleason; and Lainey, Coby, and Baby Boy Everett. Pam is also greatly missed by her brothers and sisters: Nancy (Paul) Sells, Sharon Hauck, Charles (Nancy) Pacey, Janice (Vic) Bulleigh, Shirley (Durwin) Mall, Marlene (Terry) Walker, Dale (Chris) Pacey, Linda (Kim) Demars, Lennie (Janelle) Pacey, Laurie (Larry) Zink, Jim (Tiffany) Pacey, and Steven (Linda) Pacey. Included in missing her are Lloyd Everett, Kim & Deb Woellhoff.  Preceded in death by her parents Eunice & Laurence Pacey, mother-in-law Joyce Everett, brother-in-law Bob Hauck.
