Pat Beach

PAT BEACH died March 27, 2009 in her home in Clay Center, KS at the age of 62. She was born on January 3, 1947 in Arkansas City, Kansas the daughter of Kenneth Lafferty and Grace Risley. She graduated from Salina High School in 1965. Pat earned her Bachelor's degree from Kansas Weslyan University and her Master's Degree from Kansas State University. She married Ray Beach on June 6, 1970 in Salina. She was a teacher and reading recovery intructor for USD 379. She was a member of Clay Center United Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the International Reading Association. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Lafferty. Survivors include: Husband: Ray Beach, Clay Center, KS Son: Kenny Beach, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Katina Beach, Greenwood , MO Mother: Grace Lafferty, Wichita, KS Sister: Ann Miles, Wichita, KS A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Meyers and Rev. Bob Baer. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to May be made to the Clay County Education Endowment Foundation or Meadowlark Hospice in care of the funeral home.
