PAUL WILLIAMS died April 18, 2008 at Morningside Comfort Care Home, Wichita, KS at the age of 94. PAUL WILLIAMS was born on August 2, 1913 in Springhill, KS the son of Roberts Henry Williams and Stella Mintie Dillon. He moved to Clay Center with his parents in 1915. He graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1932. He taught at Mount Vernon and Pleasant Hill country school for a number of years. He married Mary Helen James on August 3, 1934. He began working for Key Milling Co in 1951. Retiring in 1977 as General Manager and Vice-President. He spent his retirement years operating a leather repair business and sold western tack and horse trailers. Helen preceded him in death on June 3. 2005 after 70 years of marriage. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, 45 year charter member of the Kiwanis Club where he was past President and secretary, Lt. Governor of Kiwanis District 4, past President of the Clay Center Chamber of Commerce and former member of the board of directors for North Central- Flint Hill Area Agency on Aging. Survivors include: Son: Jim and wife Annette Williams, Sanger, TX Daughter: Sharon and husband Leonard Vaughn, Derby, KS Son: Thomas and wife Karen Williams, Benton, KS Son: Philip and wife Peggy Williams, Abilene, KS Daughter: Kathy Kent, Rocky Mount, NC Sister: Mary Jane Miller, San Jose, CA Grandchildren: 13 Grandchildren and 19 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Pastor Wilbur Schoneweis . Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Paul Williams memorial fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home
