Paulette Hood

PAULETTE M. HOOD, 68 died February 15, 2016 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. She was born on December 8, 1947 in Concordia, KS, of Vincil and Marie (Begnoche) Appleby. Paulette was raised in Clyde and graduated from Clyde High School. She worked at Elk State Bank in Clyde. She moved to Clay Center in 1967 and worked at Union State Bank. Paulette operated Mode O' Day clothing store from 1977 until 2000. She then worked as a clerk at Pamida from 2000 to 2007 and at Ray's Apple Market fron 2007 to 2011. Paulette was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Kansas Laureate Beta Pi Sorority. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Son: Jayson and wife Jennifer Hood, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Georgia and husband Jason Wells, Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Steven and wife Janelle Hood, Wakarusa, KS Step-Son: Brian and wife Patricia Hood, Divide, MT Sister: Patricia and husband Paul Martin, Sioux City, IA Sister: Pam and husband Larry Lee, McKinney, TX Brother: Preston Appleby, Salina, KS Grandchildren: Caitlyn, Emily, Lucas and Alex Hood, Jaydin, Kaydence and Kaylyn Wells Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, KS Officiating the service will be The Rev. Randall Weber and Bishop Edward J. Weisenburger Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde, KS Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 3-7 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
