Pearl Annette Hess

PEARL ANNETTE HESS died November 29, 2009 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 86. She was born on October 28, 1923 in Morganville Kansas, the daughter of James and Annie (Wilkerson) Gennett. She was raised in the Morganville community and attended school there. Pearl married Dallas Hess on May 17, 1952. They farmed in the Wakefield community. She worked as a nurses aide for many years at the Clay County Hospital nursery and with Meadowlark Hospice. Pearl was a member of the Assembly of God Church and she enjoyed gardening. Dallas preceded her in death on December 28, 1988. She is aslo preceded by 4 brothers, 3 sisters and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughter: Connie Terrian, Wakefield, KS Daughter: Donna Birmeier, Leonardville, KS Daughter: Vickie Schneider, Manhattan, KS Daughter: Connie and husband Rick Terrian, Wakefield, KS Son: Lanny and wife Sherry Hess, Clay Center, KS Son: Rick Hess, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 10 Grand and 13 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Lorenzo Jackson. Burial will be at the Uniondale Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednseday at the funeral home the family will greet friends from 5:30 - 7 PM Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the Leonardville Nursing Home c/o the funeral home
