Pearl Toburen

Pearl Toburen died October 14, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 98. Pearl was born on June 17, 1910 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of Robert Bachmann and Rosine Schurle. She graduated from Clay Center High School. She married Eldon Toburen on October 5, 1947 in Clay Center. They owned and operated Toburen Implement Co. until they retired in 1974. Eldon preceded her in death on March 19, 1994. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Women's Society of Christian Service. Colleens, VFW Auxillary, Clay County Historical Society and African Violet Society of America. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Clay Center United Methodist Church or Youthville in care of the funeral home.
