JOSEPHINE "PEG" M. RICKLEY died May 19, 2009 at Sterling House, Salina, KS at the age
of 91. She was born on February 10, 1918 in Kansas City Kansas, the daughter of William and Minnie (Wilson) Scott. Her father died when she was an infant and she was raised by her mother and step-father George Braden. She attended Sunny Slope School near Wakefield and beauty
school in Topeka. She married Claude Rickley on May 19, 1941 at Plattsburg, MO. The couple
made their home in Wakefield and she worked at the main post cafeteria on Fort Riley. Claude
preceded her in death on December 11, 1998. Peg was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary #7774, Rebekah Lodge #248, the U and I club, the 1918 club, Kansas Campers, and Tri-Rivers. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Queen, 3 step-sisters and 3 step-brothers.

Daughter: Sharon Kay and husband Vernon Elsasser, Touchet, WA
Grandchildren: 8 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren
Sister: Juanita Schwab, Hillsboro, KS
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist
Church in Wakefield, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Diana Stewart.
Burial will be at the Good Hope Cemetery, Dickinson County, KS.
Visitation will be held on will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Wakefield
Funeral Home.

organization of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
