Phyllis Laduex

PHYLLIS LADUEX died January 29, 2010 at Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, Manhattan, KS at the age of 83. She was born on March 22, 1926 in Tama County, Iowa the daughter of Ross Calvin and Olive Marjorie (Wise) Earnest. She was raised in Tama County and graduated from Tama High School. Phyllis married John LaDuex in 1946 in Wichita. They made their home in Sterling, Russell, and Pratt before moving to Clay Center in 1972. John preceded her in death on May 31, 1976. She worked in the Human Resources department at Hutchinson-Mayrath. She was a member of the Clay Center United Mthodist Church, life member of Order of the Eastern Star, and she was a Girl Scout leader. She was also preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include: Son: John LaDuex, Jr, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Karen LaDuex, Osawatomie, KS Sister: Marjorie Gillespie, San Antonio, TX Funeral Services will be held at a later date in Tama, Iowa Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the funeral home.
