Rachel Brown, 92 years died August 10, 2016 at in , KS. She was born on March 7, 1924 in Clay County, Kansas. The daughter of Earle and Beulah (Billings) Bouden. Rachel was raised in Clay County. Following high school, she built airplanes for the WWII war efforts. Rachel married Woodrow Brown on November 11, 1945. She worked as a farmer’s wife, checker at Boogaarts, at Hutchinson Manufacturing and raised chickens. Woodrow preceded her in death on April 12, 1998. Rachel was a member of the Clay Center Christian Church, various church committees, Sunshine Club, 4-H project leader, Wakefield American Legion Auxiliary, Union Homemakers and Faith Mission treasurer. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Clay Center Christian Church in Clay Center KS
Officiating the service will be Pastor Christian Hallberg
Burial will be in Uniondale Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
