Ralph Nicewander

Ralph Nicewander died February 5, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 72. Ralph was born on January 8, 1936 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Richard Kenneth and Zela (Chaffin) Nicewander. Ralph grew up in the Topeka area and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war. He married Leola Stites on April 12, 1954 and the couple moved to Clay Center in 1958. He worked for the COOP for 36 years in crop production. He was a member of the Wesleyan Church of Clay Center. He was preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include: Wife: Leola Nicewander, Clay Center, KS Son: Ed and his wife Celeste Nicewander, Hutchinson, KS Daughter: Robin and her husband John Macy, Miltonvale, KS Grandchildren: 5 Grandchildren 2 stepgrandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Paschall. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to may made to the Wesleyan Church in care of the funeral home.
