Ray Milo Keen, 76 died September 28, 2016 in Manhattan, KS. He was born on October 27, 1939 in Clay County, Kansas, the son of Cecil, Sr. and Meda (Lloyd) Keen. Ray was raised in Clay County and graduated from CCCHS in 1957. He married Roberta Hoerner on August 19, 1960. Together they farmed and had two children, Rodney Ray and Renee Faye. During his life, Ray served in the Kansas National Guard and he farmed with his family. He also worked for John Deere, Lear-Sigler at Fort Riley, Lincoln Elementary School, Clay County Court House and the Clay Center Municipal Airport. Ray was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church. His devotion to his faith was carried out by his actions, both in the church and in the Christian Motorcyclists Association and for over 15 years in the County Jail Ministry. He certainly led by example when it came to his ministry and faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Roberta Keen, Clay Center, KS; his son, Rod and wife Dana Keen; his daughter, Renee and husband Mark Morton,Manhattan, KS. His brother Cecil, Jr and wife Evelyn Keen, Clay Center, KS; a sister, Darlene and husband Marvin Yarrow, Clay Center, KS. He felt blessed with 6 grandchildren: Amanda and spouse Daniel Nye, Caleb and wife Hunter Morton, Justin Keen, Therese and spouse Tyler Nondorf, Andrew Morton and Adison Keen and 6 great grandchildren: Damien, Isaiah, Melissa, Jeremiah, Adriel and Alexander. He enjoyed watching his family grow, and enjoyed getting together with them. Family was very important to Ray, and he made sure that everyone in his family knew that God was first and foremost, family came in a close second. And he made sure that everyone in his family knew exactly how important they were to him. A host of family and friends too numerous to mention, but never forgotten. Funeral Services: Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10:30 at the Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, KS Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS Visitation: Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
