Richard Heikes

RICHARD WILLIAM HEIKES, 91 died September 22, 2007 at his residence in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born December 14, 1915 in Clay County,Kansas the son of Ralph and Lillie (Daniels) Heikes. He was raised in Clay County. He graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1934 and from Kansas State University in 1940. He married Ruth Fasse on September 22, 1940, she survives of the home. He farmed in the Longford Community until 1955 when they moved to Fountain, CO. Richard and Ruth owned and operated the Fountain Motel. They retired in 1980 and moved to Colorado Springs. He was a member of the Mizpah United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Hazel Wright and Leona Heikes and 1 grandson, Kevin Heikes.
