RICHARD A. HUFFMAN, was born at home on February 28, 1929 in Clay Center, KS, the son of Alfred and Lyla (Bell) Huffman. He departed his life on February 28, 2015 at the age of 86. Richard graduated from Clay Center High School in 1947. He married Irene Affolter on November 23, 1950 at Rev. Knapp's home. To this union were born two children, Dick and Donice. Richard and Irene celebrated 64 wonderful years together. Richard served 21 months in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Richard worked at Skinner Chevrolet for 25 years and for USD 379 for 16 and a half years. After his retirement, Richard worked part-time for Mike Wernette at American Sealant in Clay Center. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and volunteered on the Clay Center-Hayes township fire department. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Huffman and grandson, Mark Huffman.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Rev. Scott Lingle
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
