Richard Wernecke

Richard Wernecke, 70, died November 3, 2016 in Salina, KS. He was born on November 3, 1946 in White City, KS, the son of Charles and Violet Wernecke. Richard was raised in White City. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served in Viet Nam. He married Donna Wurtz, they divorced in 1990. After retiring from the Air Force, he lived in Clifton and worked for BOC Gas Trucking, retiring in 2003. Richard was a member of the American Legion in Clifton and the VFW in Clyde. He was preceded in death by his father, infant sister and a granddaughter.
