Robert "Bob" Desmarais

ROBERT “BOB” DESMARAIS, 78, died February 12, 2014 at his residence in Clay Center, KS. He was born on August 5, 1935 in Taunton, MA. The son of William and Beatrice (Bradshaw) Desmarais. Bob was raised in Tauton, Mass. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Bob married Elaine Rose in 1956 and she preceded him in death in 1990. He worked as a silversmith for Poole's Silver, F.B. Rogers Silver Co. and at Reed and Barton Silver Co. where he also served as shop union steward, before retiring in 1991. Bob moved to Clay Center in 1996. He is preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors:  Son: James Desmarais, Wichita, KS Son: David and wife Annie Desmarais, Clay Center, KS 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren  Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS  Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS  Memorials: Bob Desmarais memorial fund c/o the funeral home
