ROBERT BOB WICHMAN, SR. died November 13, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay
Center, KS at the age of 72. He was born on June 21, 1937 in Washington County, Kansas the
son of George G. and Leona (Reed) Wichman. He was raised in Green, Kansas area and
graduated from Green High School. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps after high school. He
returned to Clay County after the service and worked for the Toburen Implement Co. and farmed.
He then worked for the Clay Center Public Utilites from 1974 until retiring in 1995. After
retirement he worked part time for the Clay Center Wastewater Treatment Plant. He was a
member of the North American Hunting Club; Vice President of the National Wild Turkey
Federation; Whitetails Unlimited; Ducks Unlimited; Pheasants Forever and the Clay Center
American Legion. He was preceded by his parents and one sister.

Step-Daughter: Christine and husband Mike Swaim, Clay Center, KS
Brother: Ronald and wife Donna Wichman, Clay Center, KS
Sister: Betty and husband Jim Nail, Mesa, AZ
7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the First
Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor James Byers.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 16th from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home
Memorials can be made to Robert D. Wichman Memorial Fund to be designated later by the
family
