Robert R. Laffery

ROBERT R. "Bob" LAFFERY died December 2, 2008 in rural Clay County, KS at the age of 51. He was born on January 1, 1957 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of LeRoy and JoAnn (Girard) Laffery. He was raised in Clay Center, Kansas and graduated from Clay Center Community High School in 1974. He married Deanna Rummel on August 9, 1975 and she survives of the home. Bob worked for Boogarts Grocery through high school until 1975. He then worked for Hutchinson Manufacturing from 1976 until 1986 then A.B.B. Raymond from 1987 until 2004 when he joined Northern Natural Gas Co.. He was a member of the American Archery Assoc.. He was preceded in death by his father, step-father and one brother. Survivors include: Wife: Deanna Laffery, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Melissa and husband Richard Burpee, Sequin, TX Mother: JoAnn Dalton, Rockport, TX Brother: Les and wife Carol Laffery, Clay Center, KS Brother: Thomas and wife Sherron Laffery, Oklahoma City, OK Brother: Michael Laffery, Palestine, TX Brother: Jeffrey and wife Stephanie Laffery, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 5 grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home
