RODNEY ADKINS died September 17, 2007 at Osawatomie State Hospital, Osawatomie, KS at the age of 42. Rodney Adkins was born on December 11, 1964 in Jacksonville, Missouri. Rodney married Gloria Hagan on December 11, 1996. He worked at a rock quarry and for Faifield Inn in Arizona until moving to Clay Center in 1999. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include: Wife: Gloria Adkins, Clay Center, KS Mother: Edna Faye Adkins, Chino, CA Step-Son: Wayne Fischer, Kearney, NE Step-Daughter: Cynthia Marie Kingery, Indianapolis, IN Step-Daughter: Melissa Ann and her husband, Randy Trent, Ogden, KS Step-Daughter: Michelle Kay and her husband, Mike Callahan, Manhattan, KS Sister: Debbie Garcia, Phoenix, AZ Sister: Theresa Lehman, Atlanta, GA Sister: Sharon , Chino, CA Grandchildren: Eleven Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 10:30 am at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Glenn Tombaugh. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 8:30 a.m. until service time Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Rodney Adkins Memorial Fund in care of the United Bank and Trust of Clay Center.
