Rodney Kent Ohlde, 63, of Linn, KS passed away March 27, 2011. He was
born July 14, 1947 in Clay Center, KS the son of Raymond and Gladys
(Kahrs)Ohlde. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church on July 22,
1947. He graduated from Linn High School. He married Carol Helms on
November 14, 1965. Rodney was devoted to his faith, family, farming and his
community. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling.
He operated Ohlde Seed Farm until 2003. He then worked as a financial
advisor for Linn Willow Creek Dairy. He also enjoyed helping his son farm
near Linn. Rodney was very active in the community serving on numerous
economic development boards for Washington County and Linn Housing
Committees. He served as president of St. John's Lutheran Church and
supports Linn Lutheran School. He served on the USD 223 School Board,
Greenleaf COOP Board including 4 years as president, and the Kansas Seed
Industry Association Board of Directors. He was named Outstanding Seedsman
for the Seed Industry in 2009. He is preceded by his mother Gladys Ohlde.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas.

Burial: St. John Cemetery, Palmer, Kansas.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 29 from 5-8pm at the St. John Lutheran Church Palmer KS.
