Roger Dalton

Roger Dalton died October 15, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Houston, TX at the age of 67. Roger was born on December 8, 1940 in Moultrie County, Illinois the son of Walter Dalton and Esther Stevens. He was raised in Bethany, IL.. He moved to Roswell, NM. in the early 1960's. He was a heavy equipment operator with the oil industry. He later moved to Odessa, Tx. and in 2000 moved to Rockport, TX.. He married JoAnn Laffery on April 3, 1981 in Odessa, TX. and she survives of the home. He was preceded by his parents, a step-son Jim Laffery and 2 brothers. Survivors include: Wife: JoAnn Dalton, Rockport, TX Son: Mike Dalton, Baxter, TN Daughter: Becky and husband Warren Howe, Baxter, TN Step-Son: Jeff and wife Stephanie Laffery, Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Bob and wife Deanna Laffery, Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Tom and wife Sherron Laffery, Oklahoma City, OK Step-Son: Michael Laffery, Palestine, TX Brother: Max Dalton, Catlettsburg, TN Brother: David Dalton, Dexter, NM Sister: Martha Mayberry, Decator, IL Sister: Cheryl Inks, Dallas, TX Sister: Carol Garcia, Roswell, NM Sister: Judy Martin, Roswell, NM Sister: Vickie Burns, Roswell, NM Sister: Jill Votaw, Roswell, NM Nine Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 1:30 PM at the Christian Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Doug Wallace. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
